Development

Magen’s management team and founders include some of the industry’s most accomplished drug developers, having successfully advanced products from inception through market launch.  The development team draws on a wealth of knowledge and experience gained in past experience at both large and small pharmaceutical companies.

In 2007, Magen in-licensed a portfolio of novel, small molecule drug candidates from Eli Lilly & Co. A lead molecule and second generation compound from the portfolio have been selected and extensively characterized by both Lilly and Magen scientists, demonstrating potent antiproliferative and other important biological properties with potential in a number of dermatological disorders.  IND-enabling studies are currently ongoing for both compounds, with plans to conduct human clinical studies in multiple dermatological indications in 2009.
